Take a Seat is a project created to promote a chair repair business I founded, combining craftsmanship with thoughtful design. My work encompasses hands-on repairs, fabrication, and the creation of printed materials to showcase and advertise my services.

The project began when a friend asked me to repair a few chairs with broken caning. What started as a small favor quickly became an ongoing pursuit of learning and restoration. Since then, I’ve repaired the caning and structure of over fifty chairs, refining my technique and expanding my appreciation for design objects with history and character.

To bring the project to life visually, I developed a full set of branding materials, including business cards, postcards, and a promotional newspaper highlighting the work and stories behind each restoration.
